Reflecting the Paris 2024 motto ‘Made for Sharing’, Philippe Starck has designed a concept for the 2024 Olympic medal that can be divided into four. The French industrial designer and architect’s innovation builds on a long-standing Olympic tradition and takes into account the increasingly collaborative nature of the contemporary sport, where even individual athletes are supported by teams of professionals working to optimize their performance.
Describing it as a tribute to the power of team spirit, Stark’s medal design features a disc featuring the Olympic logo on one surface. Winners can split the disc into three equal parts to share with their mentors and loved ones.

Breaking is the only sport making its debut in Paris in 2024. At the Paris 2024 Games, the breaking competition will comprise two events – one for men and one for women – where 16 B-Boys and 16 B-Girls will go face to face in solo battles. Athletes will use a combination of moves and improvise to the beat of the DJ’s tracks. Breaking made its Youth Olympic debut at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires in 2018.
# Where will the 2024 Olympics be held in Paris …?
The 2024 Summer Olympic Games will be held in Paris, France. There will be a total of 35 venues, with fourteen sites hosting 24 Olympic sports located within 10km of the Olympic Village. The Games will take place in several locations around Paris such as less Yvelines, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-et-Marne and Seine-Saint-Denis.
However, the Paris 2024 Games will extend to many other areas of France, with the football tournament being played in six other cities (Bordeaux, Nantes, Lyon, Saint-Etienne, Nice and Marseille), sailing taking place in Marseille and surfing held at the Teahupo’o site in Tahiti.

# Olympic Games History
The history of sports goes back 3000 years to the Peloponnese in ancient Greece. The games organized at Olympia took place every four years and took the name of the Olympic Games. We do not know exactly when they began, but written sources often mention the date 776 BC.
The modern Olympc Games or Olympics (French: Jeux Olympiques) are the leading international sporting events featuring summer and winter sports competitions in which thousands of athletes from around the world participate in a variety of competitions.
The Olympic Games are considered the world’s foremost sports competition with more than 200 teams, representing sovereign states and territories, participating.
