BlackPink is a South Korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment consisting of members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa. Jenny Kim (Korean: born January 16, 1996), known monony mously as Jenny, is a South Korean singer and rapper. Born and raised in South Korea, Jenny studied in New Zealand for five years before returning to South Korea in 2010. She debuted as a member of the girl group Blackpink formed by YG Entertainment in August 2016.

Jenny Kim was born on January 16, 1996, as an only child in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. She initially attended Cheongdam Elementary School in Seoul before moving to New Zealand. When she was eight, she went on a trip to Australia and New Zealand with her family. When her mother asked her if she liked New Zealand and wanted to stay there, Jenny replied “yes”; A year later, she was sent to study at Waikowai Intermediate School in Auckland and lived with a homestay family.

Roseanne Park (born February 11, 1997), Rosé is a Korean-New Zealand singer and dancer based in South Korea. Born in New Zealand and raised in Australia, Rose signed with South Korean label YG Entertainment after a successful audition in 2012 and trained for four years before debuting as a member of the girl group Blackpink in August 2016.
