BlackPink is a South Korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment consisting of members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa. The group debuted in August 2016 with their solo album Square One, which featured “Whistle” and “Boombayah”, their first number-one entries on South Korea’s Gaon Digital Chart and the US Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart, respectively.
Named the “World’s Biggest Girl Group”, Blackpink is the most successful Korean girl group internationally. They are the highest-charting Korean female act on the US Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 13 with “Ice Cream” (2020), and number one on the Billboard 200 with their second studio album, Born Pink (2022).

BLACKPINK became the first female Korean act to receive a certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) with their single “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” (2018), the first time its music video was topped one by a Korean group. Early life

Jenny Kim (Korean: born January 16, 1996), known monony mously as Jenny, is a South Korean singer and rapper. Born and raised in South Korea, Jenny studied in New Zealand for five years before returning to South Korea in 2010. She debuted as a member of the girl group Blackpink formed by YG Entertainment in August 2016.

Early life
Jenny Kim was born on January 16, 1996, as an only child in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. She initially attended Cheongdam Elementary School in Seoul before moving to New Zealand. When she was eight, she went on a trip to Australia and New Zealand with her family. When her mother asked her if she liked New Zealand and wanted to stay there, Jenny replied “yes”; A year later, she was sent to study at Waikowai Intermediate School in Auckland and lived with a homestay family.

Born in New Zealand and raised in Australia, Rose signed with South Korean label YG Entertainment after a successful audition in 2012 and trained for four years before debuting as a member of the girl group Blackpink in August 2016.

Lisa Manobal (born Pranpriya Manobal. on March 27, 1997), known mononymously as Lisa, she is a Thai rapper, singer and dancer. Also, a member of the South Korean girl group Blackpink formed by YG Entertainment.

Early life
Born Pranpriya Manobal on March 27, 1997, in Buriram province, Thailand, she later legally changed her name to Lalisa on the advice of a fortune teller to bring prosperity. She was raised as an only child by her Thai mother and Swiss stepfather. Her mother is called Chitthip Brüschweiler. Her stepfather Marco Bruschweiler, a chef, is currently active in Thailand.
